- I know this isn't really the answer to your question, but if your MacBook Pro is running Mac OS X 10.5.7 or later would you consider upgrading to Sims 3 because there is a version that will run natively in the Mac OS, and it's available at a pretty good price, although not available for instant download for Mac.
Can I run the Sims 4 on my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro? It has an Intel Iris 4000 Graphics Card and 1024 VRAM. It also comes with 4 GB of RAM. Would my mac crash? There are many other suitable options for a Sims 4 laptop out there, like the newer MacBook Pros (2014 onwards) and the MacBook Air (2015 onwards), which can run the game with pretty much all the expansions at low to medium graphics settings. The MacBook Pros can handle Sims 4 well from what I have learned as long as it has 8 GB of RAM. The MacBook Airs are really not made to play games and have a hard time handling the game.
